Hi my lovelies! Hey there guys! Sorry to sound like a broken record but, spring is here and I’m still reeling with happiness. I know that in some places, like my city, weather is already warm enough to break out your shorts, and we probably did the transitioning into spring weeks ago, but I know that’s not the case for all of you, so just like last fall, here’re my 6 tips to transition your looks into spring!
¡Hola bebés! ¡Hola!
LAYERING
Just like for fall, but in this case think in layers you can remove as the day warms up.
GO FOR LIGHTER COLORS
During winter we tend to gravitate towards a darker color palette, unless you’re like me and black is your happy color year round, but during spring we tend to wear lighter, brighter colors, so start by adding some of these to your looks.
SHOW SOME LEG
Keep the warper layers from the waist up and dare start showing off those legs, not ready for skirts or dresses? Try a pair of cropped jeans or culottes, they’re the perfect transitional piece.
SWITCH OUTERWEAR
Ditch that heavy coat and bring that cool trench into the mix, denim jackets are also a great transitional piece or cool lighter jackets, maybe a windbreaker?
ADD A PRINT
Or two! Prints are a warmer season must, and this year print mix and matching is all the rage, plus, it helps you bring some color to your OOTD.
HOLD ON TO THOSE ANKLE BOOTS
Still not sure about letting your toes out? that’s okay, ankle boots are an awesome way to ease them into warmer weather, plus, let’s face it, everything’s cooler with ankle boots! Another option? Open toed mules, my favorites this year!
