1If you’ve been reading my blog you know by now that this year I’ve been attempting at making some positive changes in my life, some of those are health related, this health goals idea started earlier this summer, and I’m proud to say I’ve already achieved some of them and I’m on my way to achieving the others, so without any further ado, here’s my list.

  • Quit smoking (10 14 weeks so far!).
  • Working out (EDIT: 2 months!).
  • Drink more water (started on September 1st the #watergallonchallenge).
  • Going to bed earlier.
  • Cut back on sugars.
  • Start running to eventually run a marathon.
  • EDIT: Start a steady skin care routine

Si has estado leyendo mi blog, sabrás que éste año he estado intentando hacer cambios positivos en mi vida, algunos de ellos relacionados con  mi salud, empecé con ésta lista de cosas saludables que quiero lograr a principios del verano, y me enorgullece decir que ya he logrado algunos y estoy en el proceso de lograr otros, así que sin más rollo, aquí está mi lista.

  • Dejar de fumar (¡10 14 semanas ya!)
  • Hacer ejercicio (EDICIÓN: ya 2 meses en clases de pole fitness)
  • Beber más agua (El 1o de Septiembre comencé el #watergallonchallenge)
  • Irme a dormir más temprano.
  • Reducir mi consumo de azúcares.
  • Empezar a correr para eventualmente inscribirme a una carrera.
  • EDICIÓN: Comenzar una rutina de cuidado de la piel


EDIT: Since I posted this a month ago, I’ve been working out steadily for almost 3 months now (3 on october 20th) it’s been almost 15 weeks since I had my last cigarrette (october 2nd will be the 15th), the new feature on my iPhone for bedtime alarms has helped me in the going to bed earlier, I am drinking more water than I used to, but I still haven’t started running, my new water intake has helped me cut down on sugary drinks, which makes me really happy, and I want to start a new and steady skincare routine.

EDICIÓN: Desde que publiqué esto hace un mes, he estado ejercitándome regularmente por casi tres meses ya (el 20 de octubre cumplo tres meses) han pasado casi 15 semanas desde mi último cigarro (el 2 de octubre se cumplen las 15) la nueva aplicación de iPhone para tu hora de dormir me ha ayudado a acostarme más temprano, estoy tomando mucha más agua, no he empezado a correr, pero gracias a toda el agua que bebo he dejado casi por completo las bebidas azucaradas, lo que me hace súper feliz, y quiero empezar una rutina constante de cuidado de la piel.

  1. Congrats! I’m doing the same thing and hopefully pull enough self control to stop smoking soon : )

    My goal is to get back into swimming and eat healthier + do more yoga

  2. Your goals are very similar to mine for this year! 🙂 I’m not much of a smoker and I try to eat healthy but I definitely don’t get enough exercise so that’s something I’m trying to work on. Good luck on your journey, XO

  4. Hey Daniela, just found your blog! Your goals are really great. When I first started running a lot a couple years ago, my goal was a half marathon, and there was a running app that really helped me get excited about running. It is Charity Miles. You pick any charity from a list before you start walking or running, and you earn a small amount of money for that charity while you work out! Great post :))

  5. Very new to this and am trying to be more health conscious. I’ve pretty much been health conscious most of my adult but I’ve failed at maintaining weight loss. Been there done that but can’t maintain. Hoping your blogs will help me.
